list bulletWhy did I choose this school: My parents won't allow me to study in Manila as it is a very dangerous place according to them and they didn't think I can protect myself from such incidents. In short, they didn't trust me with my own safety.

list bulletAbout Bulacan State University: The number of students, which was more than 40,000, made it very challenging for me as I am not really fond of having lots of people around. It always felt like wherever you go, there are hundreds of eyes who can see or who might see you. The ambiance is not like all the students are very poor as portrayed in the movies when someone is studying in a public school. Actually there are students who bring their cars at school. They have the latest gadgets and they're in with the latest trends. However, I've never met any BulSUan, as we call ourselves, who is always speaking in English like in other famous private universities. That made me comfortable because it felt like we all have a common denominator- we live a simple life.

The professors are not different from the way people tell it. Some are as cruel as they can be while others are so kind that you would actually think that no student fails in his subject. Of course there are a few who are very worth admiring while there are those whom you wish will be fired as soon as possible.

Our college, the College of Arts and Letters, is lucky to be one of the few colleges in that university to have fully air conditioned rooms. The scorching heat of the weather was never an issue for us CAL students. Yet at the same time, the cold feeling really invites us to feel very sleepy at some point. The rooms in the other buildings were very awful as there is no enough ventilation for the 50 students in a class. We experienced having a class at those kinds of rooms and it really takes a lot of concentration for you to forget that kind of ambiance while the professor is having discussions.

list bulletMy current job: I am still in the application process as a Speaker for the ACRO group of companies.

◈ Studied BS in Tourism Management
◈ At Bulacan State University
◈ Graduated 2017

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: Bulacan State University is the most affordable and the nearest University from home that offered Tourism Management course.

list bulletAbout Bulacan State University: The ambiance of school is friendly yet crowded, competitive yet safe, and most of all the University is clean.

Some professors are approachable some are not, most of them are friendly and good in teaching.

There is scarcity of facilities, because the facilities can't contain the number of students that reached to 50,000 students this year. (2016-17)

list bulletMy current job: Now I am a trainee at Tourism Promotions Board the Marketing Arm of the Department of Tourism, I am in the Administrative Department. I am now be absorbed at Tourism Promotions Board.

◈ Studied BSEd in English
◈ At Bulacan State University
◈ Graduated 2008

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: It's the best school in Bulacan for me and it's also near.

list bulletAbout Bulacan State University: Indeed, the atmosphere is great since it's a big university and the people around it are nice and accommodating.

Most of my professors have been a great help both in my academic and personal growth since most of them teach well and passionately...

The school is well equipped with everything that the students need as for the education department.

list bulletMy current job: Curriculum Developer/ Grammar Trainer - I basically write grammar books and train teachers intensive grammar. I also evaluate teachers and students and make exams and other materials.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: As soon as I graduated (the next day after the graduation), I was able to start as a teacher first, then as a trainer and as my position now, in the same university

◈ Studied BS in Nursing
◈ At Bulacan State University
◈ Graduated 2009

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: Bulacan state university is like the "University of the Philippines in Bulacan" it is the school that has one of the tightest screening for incoming freshmen students. I chose this school because of it's good reputation. In relation to board exam results, BSU graduates are always on the list of topnochers. Beside the fact that the tuition fee is half of the price that private schools have.

list bulletAbout Bulacan State University: The atmosphere in BSU compared to other private schools is not good. Of course at the time I am studying there, the classrooms were not yet air conditioned. But still there are a lot of trees around the area where students can take rests during hot sunny days. But during rainy days, be prepared to remove your shoes because of floods ;)

The professors:
No complain for professors in the college of Nursing. They screen their professors before hiring them, thats why I became one of the clinical.instructors there 2 years after I graduated ;) also, the instructors are not just good in theories but also in practical experiences.

The facilities:
The facilities improve from time to time. Before, we have limited supply but now the school already have enough suppliea for the students, but still the state-of-the-art equipments like dummiea with veins and blood backflow are still unavailable

list bulletMy current job: I am an anesthesia nurse now in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This has been one of my dreams because being inclined in anesthesia is a very difficult job. We assist anesthesiologist in giving anesthesia to patients and we even have the opportunity to learn the science of giving anesthesia to patients.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: It took me 4 months after graduation, since I needed to take board exam first before working. after the board I tried voluntary work before being a staff nurse.

◈ Studied Bachelor of Elementary Education
◈ At Bulacan State University
◈ Graduated 2012

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: We're not rich. Just an average family living with a simple life. The tuition fee is very affordable and the facilities and faculties are good. Also, this is the nearest school from our house. Only 2 kilometers away.

list bulletAbout Bulacan State University: The ambiance of the school was OK. There is an equality between all of the student because we're all economically deprived. Some professors were excellent in teaching while some were not. There were enough facilities to support the student's need in computers and laboratories. All in all, I rate this school 8 out of 10.

list bulletMy current job: Online Teacher. I'm teaching koreans and chinese on correct speaking and writing english.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: It took 6 months for me to find a job.

◈ Studied AB in Mass Communication major in Broadcasting
◈ At Bulacan State University
◈ Graduated 2014

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: They say you need to go for a prestigious university in order for you to get a job. You have to take a literal blood and sweat sacrifices to be able to earn not just a tuition fee but your benefactor like scholarship programs in order for you to maintain getting electronic access for the well-known libraries, experienced high-quality facilities and education teaching in a private university or world ranking university like University of the Philippines, Ateneo De Manila University or other university in the National Capital Region of the Philippines. But I beg to disagree. I know State University specifically Bulacan State University (BulSU) located at the Heart of Bulacan, City of Malolos also excel in other university and have the capacity to transform me as a professional someday. Though I passed in University of the East in Manila, I still choose to go in BulSU as a stepping stone in my journalist profession someday for I know that BulSU aiming for it's improving stage to identify

list bulletAbout Bulacan State University: With the 35,000 population of the school, a quality ambiance will not always guarantee.
When I started to know my Mass Communication professors, I begin to realize the status quo of my knowledge. They are the mirror of the industry who really taught me to embrace my course, think for my financial benefits and love my strengths and weakness. My gratitude to Dr. Romulo Mercado, the director of Pacesetter, Mr. Marlon Santos, my thesis adviser, Mr. Regemrei Bernadro, my Advertising and Photography professor and Mr. Romulo Maturingan, my Radio Writing and Television Writing instructor who shows me the real significance of Media in the society and also all of my professors from first year up to fourth year who never fails to nurture my skills in my profession. They are really the best one.

On the other side, my learning experience in my bachelor degree will never be possible without all the facilities, equipment and important functional devices that I utilized for our own sake. I will not deny the fact that as State University with it's small tuition fee ranging from seven up to two thousand, good facility will always quiet far to achieve. Drainage was not properly administered that caused severe flood in the entire university. Enrollment is manual with no online registration and BulSUans suffer a lot to wait two to three hours in the long lane. Classrooms were not enough for 60:1 ratio that is why most of them were studying along the corridor or outside the buildings. There were no proper ventilation in the classrooms and buildings were not enough to sustain the teaching needs of the Deans and professors in their respective colleges. But despite of all of the hindrances that the Faculty encountered in maintaining good facilities, they never stop to find alternative ways to satisfy their needs. As an evidence, they raised funds through concert for a cause, funds from income generated projects and exchange students who give scholar and fund for the equipment and facility of the school. Library in every colleges were properly administered and there were still places to be rest socialize like the lover’s lane, LRT lane, Student’s Area, Heroes Park, Wifi Area and Rizal Park. Activity Center and Valencia Hall also serves as the stage place for BulSUans to showcase their talents, organized events and some event proper. Bulacan State University is a living proof of institution that there is alternative system to cope up the striving development of facilities in the State Universities.

list bulletMy current job: I am currently working as a Faculty Researcher under Research and Development Office in La Consolacion University Philippines (LCUP) Malolos Campus.

My job is to conduct at least two studies every school semester for the development and improvement of the institution and also, I have to gather research study for the proposed projects presented in the Administration of LCUP. I was still under probationary and my evaluation was based under my performance for the school year 2014-2015.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: After I graduated last March 31, I decided to attend job fairs and send online applications in different media related companies. For almost one month, I was fortunate to hired be as Program Researcher in GMA News TV specifically the Unang Hirit Program and State of the Nation with Jessica Soho but I choose to work in LCUP as a Faculty Researcher and I my contract started last May 16, 2014 for I know that there are lots of opportunities in the field and I have a chance to publish my study internationally if I work hard on it.

◈ Graduated 2015

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: I really wanted to study in Manila but sadly I didn't pass the entrance exam and parent didn't allow me because they didn't trust me. So that's why I ended up in this university which is not very far from our home so that's why I still feeling bad for my parents and I still didn't satisfy on my university.

list bulletAbout Bulacan State University: The university has a student friendly ambiance and has a reasonable tuition fee price. Not that little, not that high. Some of the classrooms were air conditioned and some of them are not. Complete in laboratory equipments like machines, computers, etc. Lots of school programs and activities you can enjoy. The professors were friendly and approachable as long as you treat them so well.

list bulletMy current job: As of now (one month after graduation), I don't have job yet. I'm starting reviewing for the Civil Engineer Licensure Examination this coming November.

◈ Studied BS in Nursing
◈ At Bulacan State University
◈ Graduated 2009

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: It was a public university and I wanted to try to get away from private institutions.

list bulletAbout Bulacan State University: First day I walked through those gates, I already felt a good vibe. It was a big campus and people come from everywhere. Different cultures, different people. It's a good feeling, something you would only feel if you were in a public university. It's like everything is ahead of you.

The professors at my school vary. There were those who are by the book, professors you fall asleep to, and then there were those who would inspire you to go to class everyday. Inspire you to study. These were the professors I love. Professors who have a passion to teach, who gives their students something to aspire for.. Look forward to.

list bulletMy current job: I had different kinds of jobs, but never as a nurse. I have been an English tutor, a call center representative and a subject matter expert. Right now, I work as a freelancer, taking up jobs I can do at the comfort of my home.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: After I graduated on march of 2009, I had to wait til June to take my board exam. After that I looked for a job and failed, repeatedly. So I applied as an English tutor at my University and got accepted on the month of august 2009.
So all in all it took me 5 months to get a job.

◈ Studied BS in Psychology
◈ At Bulacan State University
◈ Graduated 2013

list bulletAbout Bulacan State University: I think our dear alma mater, Bulacan State University provided us very good and intellectual professors that served not just an educator, but also a mentor. Most of the college professors provided us more than what they have, especially in terms of academic knowledge. I think it is the most important thing that a university/school could provide more than a good facility and atmosphere. Nevertheless, our university tried their very best to equip us with good facility and high class school environment.

list bulletMy current job: I don’t have one yet.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: Before even finishing our graduation rites, when everything in school were pre-settled, I already look for different opportunities available for fresh graduates, and I had the chance to experience my very first job interview, and the experienced was fun and the interview process went well, although they told me that their client requires to finish first the graduation rites before they continue to process my application. Nevertheless, they gave me their contact and asked me to give them a call-back right after the graduation for them to process my application.
