Course description:
The MPA program is intended for those with career interests in public governance. The curriculum blends theoretical and applied concepts and assures “real-world” experiences for the novice administrator. In addition, it requires that students devote attention to general professional development.
Program Objectives of the Graduate:
1. Prepare students to assume the role of high-level public servants in the areas of management of government, public enterprises, non-government, and private nonprofit sectors.
2. Equip the students with scientific knowledge of administrative and management concepts and theories useful in formulating solutions to problems associated with public and nonprofit administration.
3. Provide students with knowledge and understanding of the laws, rules, norms, and traditions that shape the internal structure, efficiency, and innovativeness of public sector and nonprofit organizations.
4. Enhance students’ research capability in the areas of public administration, policy formulation and analysis, development management, global governance, human resource development, and in contemporary issues in public affairs management.
