I. ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS

1. F. Cayco Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to incoming freshmen specifically nominated for the grant. To continue enjoying the scholarship subsequently, the recipient must maintain a general weighted average of 1.5, a minimum load of 18 units, and no failing grade or dropped subject in the immediately preceding semester. The documentary requirement includes a certified copy of the grades and certificate of enrolment to be issued by the school registrar. First time recipients must obtain and present the Certificate of Award of the F. Cayco Memorial Scholarship before enrolment. The scholarship is for 100% of tuition and miscellaneous fees.

2. Elisa Esguerra Memorial Scholarship for Valedictorian / Salutatorian

This scholarship is awarded to elementary graduates with honors (First Honors and Second Honors) and high school graduates with honors (Valedictorian and Salutatorian). The grant is limited to incoming college and high school freshman students not previously enrolled as such in any other school. For college students to continue enjoying the scholarship subsequently, the recipient must maintain a general weighted average (GWA) of 1.5, a minimum load of 18 units, and no failing grade or dropped subject in the immediately preceding semester. High school students must be among the top three with the highest average in his or her year level in order to maintain full scholarship in the succeeding year.

The documentary requirement includes a certified true copy of grades and a certificate of enrolment to be issued by the school registrar. First time recipients must present their Form 138 and a certification from the school principal of the school last attended stating the student's rank and honors received upon graduation. The scholarship is for 100% of tuition and miscellaneous fees.

3. Entrance Scholarship for High School Graduates with Honors

This is granted to high school graduates with honors or those who received honorable mention upon graduation. The scholarship is limited however to incoming college freshman students not previously enrolled as such in any other school. The documentary requirement includes a certified true copy of grades and certificate of enrolment to be issued by the school registrar. Recipients must present their Form 138 and a certification from the school principal of the school last attended stating the student's rank and honors received upon graduation. This scholarship is limited to tuition discounts, as follows:

E) Fifth Honorable Mention 75%
F) Sixth Honorable Mention 50%

4. Academic Achievement in College (College Scholarship)

This is awarded to college students for individual academic achievements in the course of a semester or school year. The documentary requirement includes a certified true copy of grades and a certificate of enrolment issued by the school registrar. The scholarship is for 100 percent, 75 percent, and 50 percent for the first, second, and third highest average grade, respectively. This covers all year levels in college and includes both tuition and miscellaneous fees. To qualify, one must be enrolled with 18 units minimum load for the computed semester. To subsequently enjoy the scholarship, previous recipients must maintain any of the top highest general weighted average (GWA) in the immediately preceding term or semester, as follows:

A) 1.0 – 1.25 - 100% free tuition
B) 1.26 – 1.50 - 75% free tuition
C) 1.51 – 1.75 - 50% free tuition

5. Academic Achievement in High School and Elementary Grades

This is awarded for individual academic achievements in the course of a school year. The scholarship is for 100 percent, 50 percent and 25 percent for the first, second, and third highest average grades, respectively, in the immediately preceding school year. The scholarship covers all year or grade levels in the high schools and elementary departments of Arellano University and includes both tuition and miscellaneous fees.

II. GOVERNMENT-MANDATED SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS

1. P.D. 451 (Poor But Deserving Students). This is granted to students who show sufficient proof of financial incapacity but who are otherwise academically proficient. This is granted on a first-come, first-served basis, with total recipients not exceeding the annual allocation as determined by the AU Vice President for Finance, but not to exceed the ratio of one scholar for every 500 students. To qualify, students must show convincing proof of hardship and financial insufficiency. To continue qualifying for the privilege, the student must not have any failing grade or dropped subject at any time while enjoying the privilege. Failure in any one subject automatically cancels this privilege. The student is also expected to complete his studies within the period prescribed in the curriculum. Students still in residence beyond the normal period prescribed in the curriculum are disqualified.

The documentary requirements include parent's income tax return, certification of grades, enrolment and residency issued by the school registrar, and a statement describing the personal circumstances of the applicant. The school may require further documentation as it deems necessary. The scholarship is for 100 percent of tuition only. Miscellaneous fees will be assessed and collected upon enrolment.

2. P.D. 577 (Dependents of AFP Personnel Who Died in Line of Duty). This scholarship is granted to children of personnel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines who died in line of duty. To continue qualifying for the privilege, the student must not have any failing grade or dropped subjects at any time while enjoying the privilege. The Vice President for Finance shall establish an annual quota, to be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Failure in any one subject automatically cancels this privilege. The student is also expected to complete his studies within the period prescribed in the curriculum. Students still in residence one year beyond the normal period prescribed in the curriculum are disqualified.

The documents required are death certificate of parent, and certification from the school registrar regarding residency and year level status. The discount is for 100 percent of tuition fees.
