The Master of Science in Economics program (MSECO) enhances the knowledge and skills of Economics graduates in planning and implementing community programs, the study of community behavior, and of the socio-cultural factors that affect the economy.

The MSECO program aims to instil mastery of analysis tools, philosophy and processes involved in economic policy as well as the economic behavior of people.

How is MS in Economics different than MA in Economics?

The MS in Economics includes thesis writing in its curriculum and has a broader scope in terms of the subject matter covered.
The MA in Economics allows the MA in Economics to choose a thesis and non-thesis track and also gives students the opportunity to specialize in a specific area.

Admission requirements for MS in Economics program in the Philippines

  • Must have the original and photocopy of the high school report card (form 138)
  • Must have recommendation from High school principal and guidance counsellor
  • Must have most recent medical and dental health record
  • Must take and pass the college entrance examination
  • Must have a copy of NSO certified birth certificate
  • Must have a certificate of good moral character
  • Must have a copy of the honourable dismissal
  • Must have a copy of the high school diploma
  • One 2”x 2” copy of latest photo
