list bulletAbout my college education:
During my first year, I was really very idealistic as to how I can use my college degree in helping the society. I forced myself to like it because I know that my degree will give me the knowledge I need to understand how things work in the economy - and hopefully would equip me in how I can be of aid in boosting it in the greatest possible way. It was very interesting knowing the theories of Economics, until concepts got complicated and complex in last years of my college life. You see, in Economics, you don't only need to know the concept - you need to learn it by heart so that you know how, when, and where to use it. Learning Economic concepts entails learning Statistics, Mathematics, Logic, and a great deal of Analysis. Without these subject matters, you will not be able to survive an Economics degree.

list bulletMy current job:
I work as an Analytics Associate in Maersk Global Service Centres, a business unit of the world's number shipping/logistics company.

list bulletAm I using what I learned in college:
With the job I have now, things I learned in the university are put aside and are not really deemed useful.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job after graduation:
I was employed a month after my graduation.

list bulletDo I recommend studying Economics:
First, Economics will always be there. Second, because of Economics being there forever, one will always have something new to learn about it. Third and most probably the best reason why it should be recommended is that not only you get to study the flow of money in the economy but you get a lot of money when you are really a practicing economist -- aside from that, you also get to help the society by simply understanding why certain societal/economic problem arise.
